New Business Models and Sustainable Future Ecosystem

The 8th edition of the Smart Manufacturing Conclave, organized by Confederation Of Indian Industry, Pune, took place recently with a focus on advancing smart manufacturing platforms and establishing sustainable business models.
The event aimed to address key aspects such as skill capabilities, resource efficiencies in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the building of reliable supply chains for a sustainable future ecosystem.
At the conclave, Aditya Adavi, Center Head - Pune, BGSW, shed light on the efforts of Bosch and BGSW in supporting partners in sustainable and smart manufacturing. Aditya emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability alongside digital transformations to enable businesses to achieve long-term success while reducing production costs. He introduced an interesting perspective on the evolving customer base, stressing the need to define a new manufacturing philosophy that empathizes with customer needs. The significance of a continuous feedback loop across value streams in realizing the vision of connected products and connected industries in a digital future was also highlighted.
Dinesh Jain, Global PLM delivery head, was as a panelist in the conclave. The panel discussion revolved around the theme of "New Business Models and Transformations for SMEs – Defining Sustainable Future Ecosystem." Dinesh focused on how the disruption caused by digital manufacturing has influenced new business models for SMEs in the pursuit of a sustainable future ecosystem. He highlighted Bosch's role in reconfiguring transformations into a two-paced system, prioritizing the delivery of outcomes to businesses. Dinesh also emphasized the potential benefits of new business models for SMEs and how they can overcome key challenges in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
